About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled

Data Engineer

with deep expertise in

Azure Data Bricks ,

data pipeline design , and

SQL development

to join our growing data engineering team. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment supporting advanced analytics and data-driven business decisions.

This is a

contract-to-hire

opportunity for a professional who excels in modern cloud data platforms and wants to contribute to scalable, reliable, and high-performance data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain

data pipelines

and ETL processes in

Azure Databricks

and

Azure Data Factory .

Develop, optimize, and manage large-scale

data models

and

data lakes

on Azure.

Write efficient and complex

SQL queries

for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.

Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to define and implement scalable data solutions.

Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance across multiple systems and sources.

Monitor and optimize performance of data workflows and pipelines.

Support the transition from contract to full-time by documenting processes and demonstrating technical leadership.

Must-Have Skills & Experience

6+ years

of professional experience as a

Data Engineer

or related role.

5+ years

of hands-on experience with

Azure Databricks

(PySpark, Delta Lake, notebooks, etc.).

2+ years

building and managing

data pipelines

(ETL / ELT) in Azure Data Factory or similar tools.

4+ years

of strong

SQL development

experience (query tuning, stored procedures, optimization).

Proven experience working with

Azure Data Lake ,

Azure Synapse , or similar cloud-based data services.

Strong understanding of

data modeling ,

data governance , and

data architecture best practices .

Experience with

version control (Git) ,

CI / CD for data pipelines , and

agile development

practices.

Nice-to-Have Skills

Experience with

Python

or

Scala

in data engineering workflows.

Exposure to

Power BI ,

Azure Synapse Analytics , or

Delta Live Tables .

Familiarity with

DevOps ,

DataOps , or

ML Ops

pipelines.

Prior experience in

contract-to-hire

or startup environments.
