Job Description – Mid-level Site Engineer for one of our clients based in Hadapsar, Pune
Position Title : Site Engineer – Mid Level
Location : Pune / Site Locations (project sites)
Experience Required : 3 to 6 years in industrial engineering / installation / commissioning
Preference to Candidates based in Pune and immediate joiners
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise site installation, erection, and commissioning activities for equipment such as pneumatic conveying systems, bag filters, screw conveyors, rotary airlock valves, cyclones, and related material handling systems.
- Work from engineering drawings, specifications, and GA drawings to ensure that equipment is erected as per design.
- Coordinate with fabrication shop, procurement, and QA / QC to ensure materials and components reach site in time, in good condition, and meet specifications.
- Perform site inspections, quality checks, alignment, leveling, and fit-up of mechanical components.
- Collaborate with electrical / control / instrumentation teams to facilitate integration of systems (PLC, sensors, actuators, instrumentation, etc.).
- Troubleshoot on-site issues (mechanical, piping, flow, dust sealing, alignment) and provide solutions to keep schedules on track.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards at site.
- Prepare daily / weekly progress reports, highlight delays / bottlenecks, propose mitigation plans.
- Liaise with client site teams, contractors, and sub-contractors for coordination and approvals.
- Support the commissioning and performance testing phase; assist in acceptance run and handover.
- Document site modifications, as-built changes, and update drawings accordingly.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering / Industrial Engineering / related discipline.3–6 years of hands-on site experience in bulk material handling, pneumatic conveying, or similar process engineering / mechanical installation projects.Prior exposure to systems such as dust collectors, bag filters, airlocks, conveyors, piping.Ability to read and interpret mechanical / piping / instrumentation drawings (GA, P&ID, isometrics).Good understanding of material flow, air / gas handling, pressure, conveying dynamics.Familiarity with field tools, alignment tools, measuring instruments, bolting practices.Good communication and coordination skills for working with multi-discipline teams.Willingness to travel to site locations (sometimes remote) for extended periods.Basic computer skills (MS Office, Excel, site reports, drawing markups).Strong problem-solving, initiative, and ability to work under pressure.
