Virbhu India Pvt Ltd, a leading solid state power conversion company located at Vadodara (Gujarat), A wholly owned subsidiary of AK Power Solutions (www.akpowers.com) (USA), operating in the field of power electronics, has an immediate opening for a Embedded System Hardware Architect to lead development of Mega Watt scale converters using SiC devices and IGBT devise for DC fast Charging of trucks and buses , solar power generation , Battery energy storage systems, electrolytic deposition , electrolyzes to produce Hydrogen fuel and other applications .
The US parent company , AK power Solutions sells IPM (integrated power modules) for fast DC charging currently in USA and is led by an IIT graduate. In addition to AK , he also leads VTC , the largest power transformer manufacturer in USA.
Embedded Systems Hardware Architect- Bangalore- Whitefield.

This Position has to frequently travel to Vadodara (Main Office)
Responsibilities :
- Complete Hardware Design & Development of embedded control boards (Analog & Digital) using Altium or similar tools.
- Selection of Microcontroller, Digital Signal Processor / Controllers, FPGAs as needed.
- Perform testing, troubleshooting, validation (at board and system level).
- Responsible for schematics captures, layout check, BOM creation and debugging and testing.
- PCB development for gate drivers
- Create fluent technical documentation including product specifications, layout instructions, test procedures, etc.
- Work closely with firmware, software, and mechanical team to achieve common goals.
- Participate in product design reviews, own hardware issues to provide solutions either in design or at production.
- Participate in lab development, test automation and productivity improvement initiatives Will be responsible for hardware design, bring up, certification and production release.
Qualifications :
B-Tech / M-Tech in Electronics & CommunicationsMust have experience working in Embedded Hardware design including experience on digital, analog, and mixed signal circuit design.Expertise in Power supply design, battery management, ADCs, memories, buffers, drivers, amplifiers, Micro controller design and different hardware protocols (UART, I2C, SPI etc.)Hands on experience with Altium, Allegro, Mentor Graphics PADs and CAM350.Good Knowledge on Power Electronics Circuits Design (Thyristors, MOSFET, IGBT, Solid State Switches, Op-to Isolator etc.)Proven track record of working with test lab equipment and simulation tools.Hands on Experience in Schematic design, PCB review, Circuit simulation.Design optimization techniques for performance, cost, and manufacturabilityGood understanding of EMI / EMC and their impact on hardwareExperience developing design notes for designs and test cases for board bring-up.
