Job description

Roles and Responsibility

  • Work with technical and business team tounderstand the business requirements, functional and technical specifications.
  • Design, code and maintain new andexisting complex SQL stored procedures and functions.
  • Performance tune existing storedprocedures, tables, and indexes
  • Work with other engineers totroubleshoot, repair and performance tune databases.
  • Review SQL code written by otherdevelopers to ensure compliance to coding standards and best practices as wellas maximum performance.
  • Create SSIS packages for datatransformation, cleansing, caching, aggregation, staging, andtransfer Work with technical and business team to understand the businessrequirements, functional and technical specifications.

  • Create SSIS packages for datatransformation, cleansing, caching, aggregation, staging, andtransfer Troubleshoot problems that may come up with databaseenvironments : performance issues; replication issues; or operational issues.
  • Perform data analysis and data profilingtasks to provide support and recommendations for development and design decisions.
  • Analyse and define data flowrequirements and prepare applicable system documentation and operation manualsas needed.
  • Support production data loads andongoing refreshes of the database systems Define, prepare, execute, andimplement data validation and unit testing methods to ensure data quality.
  • Maintain re-usable development standardsthat help implement each solution and / or enhancements to existing systems tomeet current and future needs.
  • Perform enhancements and bug fixes as required.

Desired Career Experience :

  • 5+ years' working with relational DBs ina production environment.
  • 5+ years' experience with Microsoft SQLServer

    • List Required Key Knowledge, Skills, andExperience :

  • Experience delivering high quality, hightraffic, scalable database objects.
  • Expertise in SQL server design anddevelopment
  • Excellent verbal and writtencommunication skills, including ability to simplify complex concepts fortechnical and non-technical audience.
  • Superior problem-solving skills,self-motivation, and the capacity to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn, acquireand utilize new technologies, disciplines and frameworks as needed.
  • Technical expertise in the areas of dataprofiling, data mining and data analytics
  • Technical expertise in building reliabledata ETL / ELT processes, query optimization and dynamic SQL.
  • Strong customer focus, excellent problemsolving and analytical skills.
