We are currently seeking a seasoned and driven Infrastructure Editor to lead and expand our coverage of infrastructure, urban development, transportation, real estate, energy, and civic planning, with a strong Mumbai focus and national relevance.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead Infrastructure Coverage :
- Plan, commission, and edit high-impact stories on infrastructure projects, policies, and developments across Mumbai, Maharashtra, and India.
- Newsroom Leadership :
- Mentor and guide a team of reporters, ensuring consistent, quality content aligned with editorial standards and deadlines.
- Investigative Reporting Oversight :
- Oversee and contribute to long-form investigative features on large-scale public infrastructure projects, public-private partnerships, budget allocations, environmental impact, etc.
- Develop Sources :
- Maintain strong contacts across government departments, urban planning bodies, infrastructure firms, and civil society to ensure exclusive stories and insights.
- Multi-Platform Storytelling :
- Work with digital teams to adapt content for web and social media platforms with appropriate multimedia elements.
- Analysis & Opinion :
- Provide sharp, analytical commentary and op-eds on infrastructure policy shifts, project delays, or key developments.
- Stay Updated :
- Track trends, government policies (like Smart Cities, MMRDA. MAHADA, Mumbai Rail Corporation, AMRUT, Metro Rail, Coastal Road, etc.), tenders, and execution status of major infrastructure projects.
Requirements :
Minimum 10 years of experience in journalism covering infrastructure , real estate, urban affairs, or public policy from other Daily English Newspaper Publications / B2B Magazines.Proven editorial leadership experience.Deep understanding of Mumbai’s civic landscape and India’s infrastructure ecosystem.Strong editorial judgment, news sense, and attention to detail.Excellent command of written and spoken English.Experience with digital publishing tools and content management systems.Strong network of sources in the infrastructure and civic space.Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.Preferred Qualifications :
Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Mass Communication.Experience working with multimedia teams or producing explainer content.Knowledge of Marathi or Hindi is a plus.To Apply :
