Supply Chain Manager

Job descriptionBuild and maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and manufacturers. Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery terms to secure the best deals. Regularly evaluate vendor performance, quality compliance, and service levels. Raise, track, and manage purchase orders (POs) to ensure timely procurement. Ensure proper documentation and approvals for all purchases. Coordinate with finance and accounts for vendor payments and reconciliations. Monitor inventory levels and maintain optimum stock levels to prevent shortages. Work closely with production and warehouse teams to align procurement with manufacturing schedules. Implement Just-in-Time (JIT) purchasing to optimize inventory costs. Analyze cost structures and procurement expenses to optimize spending. Identify cost-saving opportunities through supplier negotiations and process improvements. Maintain procurement budgets and track expenditures. Ensure all procured materials meet quality, regulatory, and industry standards. Collaborate with quality control teams to inspect and approve incoming materials. Stay updated with import / export regulations, taxes, and compliance policies. Develop and maintain procurement reports, purchase logs, and supplier databases. Analyze market trends, material price fluctuations, and supply chain risks. Implement ERP-based procurement systems for better efficiency. Strong negotiation and contract management skills to handle supplier agreements. In-depth knowledge of procurement processes, supply chain management, and vendor relations. Understanding of industrial drones, electronics, mechanical parts, and raw material sourcing is a plus. Proficiency in ERP systems, procurement software, and inventory management tools. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to optimize cost and delivery efficiency. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. MBA or PG Diploma in Procurement, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management is preferred. 8-12 years of experience in procurement, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial role. Experience in aerospace, drone manufacturing, electronics, or automotive procurement is preferred.

Job Description
Marut Drones is seeking a Procurement Manager to oversee the sourcing, purchasing, and vendor management of raw materials, components, and equipment required for drone production. The role involves ensuring cost-effective procurement , maintaining quality standards , and optimizing supply chain efficiency . The Procurement Manager will play a key role in negotiating contracts, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring on-time availability of critical materials.

- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with production and business goals.
- Identify and evaluate reliable suppliers for raw materials, electronics, mechanical parts, and packaging materials.
