Job Profile : Perimeter Security Team- L2

Location : HQ Delhi

Employment Type : Full-time, WFO, Regular shift

Preferred experience : 4 - 7 years

The Role

The Perimeter Security Engineer (L2) will be responsible for managing and maintaining perimeter security operations to ensure optimal availability, stability, and effectiveness of security systems. The role includes monitoring and troubleshooting perimeter devices, implementing IT security standards, enhancing security controls, improving automation, and strengthening the overall cyber-security posture across the organization.

Responsibilities

 Manage day-to-day operations of perimeter security to meet uptime, availability, and performance requirements.

 Evaluate, coordinate, and implement information security controls within the end-to-end UID environment.

 Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures across applications, networks, and client devices.

 Improve continuous monitoring of Firewall, IPS, NIPS, WAF, and other perimeter tools.

 Troubleshoot non-functional security devices and perform corrective actions with minimal downtime.

 Investigate, isolate, and resolve perimeter and network-related incidents independently or with vendor support.

 Implement and maintain backup & recovery, VPN, IDS / IPS, SIEM, and BCP procedures within the perimeter scope.

 Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery and minimal operational friction.

 Drive continuous improvement in security controls and operational effectiveness.

 Maintain updated documentation and enhance the organization’s retained security knowledge base.

 Develop automation scripts using Unix Shell / Python to improve operational efficiency.

 Integrate and automate security tools using REST APIs / SDKs for dashboards and workflow enhancements.

Must - Have Qualifications :

 Minimum 4 years of experience in Perimeter Security administration.

 CCNA (Security) certification (mandatory).

 Strong hands-on experience with Firewall, IPS, NIPS, WAF tools & monitoring.

 Proficient in troubleshooting perimeter / network security issues.

 Experience with VPN, IDS / IPS, SIEM, and BCP implementations.

 Good scripting knowledge : Unix Shell / Python.

 Ability to automate processes and integrate tools using REST APIs / SDKs.

 Strong understanding of IT security policies, standards, and control implementation.

 Ability to independently manage security operations with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications :

 Experience in government / large-scale enterprise cyber-security environments.

 Advanced certifications : CCNP Security, CEH, CompTIA Security+, etc.

 Experience with cloud-based perimeter security solutions.

 Knowledge of DevSecOps tools and automation frameworks.

 Exposure to security dashboards, SIEM analytics, and visualization tools.

 Experience in cross-functional team collaboration and detailed documentation.
