As an L3 Network Administrator, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, administration, and advanced troubleshooting of enterprise network infrastructure. This includes LAN, WAN, WLAN, firewalls, load balancers, and VPN solutions across data centers and branch offices. The role requires deep technical expertise, handling escalations from L1 / L2 teams, and ensuring network availability, performance, and security.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide L3 operational support for routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and wireless infrastructure.
- Manage and configure Cisco, Juniper, Arista, Palo Alto, Fortinet, F5, or equivalent platforms.
- Implement and maintain routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, and VLAN configurations.
- Troubleshoot complex network performance issues, latency, and packet loss.
- Administer firewall policies, VPNs (IPSec, SSL), and remote access solutions.
- Manage WAN optimization, QoS, and bandwidth monitoring.
- Perform firmware / IOS upgrades, patching, and hardware lifecycle management.
- Support network security initiatives including NAC, IDS / IPS, and DDoS protection.
- Monitor and analyze network health using tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios, Cisco DNA Center, and Wireshark.
- Document network topology, runbooks, and change requests in line with ITIL practices.
- Participate in on-call rotation and provide RCA for high-severity incidents.
- Collaborate with cloud and server teams for hybrid / cloud networking in AWS, Azure, and GCP.
Required Skills & Experience :
6-10+ years of experience in enterprise network administration.Expertise in routing, switching, and firewall administration (Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, Fortinet).Strong understanding of TCP / IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, VLANs, STP, and HSRP / VRRP.Experience with VPNs, MPLS, SD-WAN, and wireless network management.Familiarity with firewall rules, ACLs, and network security best practices.Proficiency in packet capture and analysis using Wireshark or tcpdump.Knowledge of network automation (Python, Ansible, Cisco DNA / ACI) is a plus.Exposure to cloud networking including VPCs, VPN gateways, and load balancers.Willingness to work in rotational shifts (shift cab allowances provided).Preferred Qualifications :
Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or higher (CCIE preferred).Palo Alto, Fortinet, or F5 certifications (PCNSE, NSE, F5-CA) are a plus.Experience in multi-vendor network environments.Knowledge of Zero Trust and SDN solutions (Cisco ACI, VMware NSX, etc.).Soft Skills :
