Main Purpose :
We are seeking a passionate and technically proficient Instrumentation Engineer to support instrumentation installation, calibration and pre-commissioning activities across Well Sites and GGS areas. The role requires hands-on experience in field instrumentation, SCADA systems and control loops, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and execution excellence in alignment with oil & gas industry standards.
Key Responsibilities :
Instrumentation & SCADA Execution
- Supervise and monitor all Instrumentation and SCADA works as per approved specifications, GADs, Isometrics, and P&IDs.
- Inspect contractor-supplied materials, fittings, gauges, and other instrumentation items to ensure compliance with material grades and specifications.
- Maintain complete documentation of MTCs and calibration certificates.
Testing, Calibration & Pre-Commissioning
Identify and prepare test loops for pressure testing, ensuring mechanical clearance before and reinstatement after dewatering.Oversee calibration and verification of instruments including transmitters, gauges, and sensors.Ensure proper tagging, wiring, and loop-checking of all instrument cables as per P&IDs.Verify that all instruments are installed and tested per design before handover.Coordination & Supervision
Collaborate with Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical teams to ensure smooth site execution and adherence to schedules.Oversee contractor performance, manpower, and equipment utilization on a daily basis.Ensure all construction activities are executed safely, complying with company HSE policies and standards.Drive quality assurance by monitoring works against approved specifications and ITPs.Project Monitoring & Documentation
Track construction progress, identify critical bottlenecks, and report daily to the Lead Engineer or Construction Manager.Control project schedules, manage communication with contractors, and ensure timely completion of milestones.Perform pre-commissioning simulation tests using communication protocols such as MODBUS.Verify and certify contractor job measurements, progress, and invoices.Qualifications & Experience :
Education : Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Instrumentation or Electronics & Communication Engineering
Experience : Minimum 3 years of experience in oil & gas operations, preferably in CBM wells, GDU or reciprocating compressor systems
Technical Skills :
Strong understanding of Oil & Gas operational codes and standardsExperience in plant shutdown / startup activitiesFamiliarity with communication protocols (MODBUS, simulation testing)Knowledge of Quantity Surveying (preferred)Interested candidates, kindly mail to enpcareers.hr@ril.com
