Job description

Job Title : Data Engineer (Remote)

Working Hours : 4-hour overlap with EST (9 AM–1 PM)

Type : Full-Time | Department : Engineering

We’re hiring skilled Data Engineers to join our remote tech team. You'll develop scalable, cloud-based data products and lead small teams to deliver high-impact solutions. Ideal candidates bring deep technical expertise and a passion for innovation.

Key Responsibilities :

Build and optimize scalable data systems and pipelines
Design APIs for data integration
Lead a small development team, conduct code reviews, mentor juniors
Collaborate with cross-functional teams
Contribute to architecture and system design

Must-Have Skills :

8+ years in Linux, Bash, Python, SQL

4+ years in Spark, Hadoop ecosystem

4+ years with AWS (EMR, Glue, Athena, Redshift)

Team leadership experience

Preferred :

Experience with dbt, Airflow, Hive, data cataloging tools

Knowledge of GCP, scalable pipelines, data partitioning / clustering

BS / MS / PhD in CS or equivalent experience
