Who are we and what do we do
We are seeking a Analog Design Manager for our development team, which is part of the Low Power Audio (LPA) product line, which is part of Audio BU. This role provides a unique opportunity to be part of a world-class team that develops best-in-class audio amplifiers which cater to a wide array of market segments and end-applications including cellphones, tablets, IoT devices, smart speakers etc. TI being a market leader in this technology domain, this role provides the challenge to drive continuous innovation while executing to the demands of the market. These products contain multiple sub-systems, which include high performance higher-order Class-D stages, high accuracy sense circuitry for speaker protection and corrections, data converters (sigma delta ADCs, DACs, SAR ADCs), power systems(boost converters, charge pumps, LDOs) etc. which are built as part of a complex audio SoC which provides all the smarts of a SmartAmp device.
What will you be doing in this role (Responsibilities)
As a Lead Analog Engineer for LPA development team, you will be part of a high-performance team delivering cutting edge audio products. In this role, you will be handing the following responsibilities :
- Development of analog modules for complex audio amplifier systems, with focus on one or more of these domains
- High performance, high-order loop Audio ClassD amplifiers
- High accuracy signal / sense path which has sigma Delta converters, high-CMRR / linearity amplifiers etc.
- High voltage designs either in power converters(boost) and output drivers which operate out of
- Architect, plan, design and track the development of complex analog modules
- Take the design through the pre-silicon development as well as support the post-silicon evaluation and debug
- Work with Systems Team / Technologist to understand the customer requirements and participate in the definition of new products
- Drive architectural trade-offs based on system level understanding, and translate system requirements to module specifications
- Guiding and mentoring the younger engineers in the team
- Responsible for the overall design quality by ensuring that best practices etc. are followed
- Working with the application team during post-release support, regarding specific customer queries
