Job description

We are seeking an experienced Technical Writer to join our team in Bengaluru. The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of experience in creating high-quality documentation for complex software products. You will work closely with developers and product managers to produce user manuals, online help guides, and other technical documentation that meets the needs of our users. Responsibilities "

  • Create clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation for software products, including user manuals, online help guides, and API documentation.
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and subject matter experts to gather information and understand product functionality.
  • Edit and revise existing documentation to improve clarity and accuracy based on user feedback and product updates.
  • Conduct research to understand technical concepts and translate them into user-friendly language for a non-technical audience.
  • Develop and maintain a documentation style guide to ensure consistency across all documentation.
  • Utilize tools such as Markdown, HTML, and various content management systems for documentation purposes.
  • Participate in product development meetings to stay informed about new features and changes that require documentation updates.

Skills and Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Communication, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5-8 years of experience in technical writing, preferably in the software industry.
  • Proficiency in documentation tools such as MadCap Flare, Adobe FrameMaker, or Confluence.
  • Strong understanding of software development processes and methodologies, such as Agile or Scrum.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as HTML, CSS, or JavaScript is a plus.
  • Experience in creating and maintaining API documentation using tools like Swagger or Postman.
  • Telecom domain experience preferred.
