Power and Fuel Cost Optimization Expert

This role is for an Energy Manager for Chennai location, Extensive experience in Engineering both Mechanical and Electrical as well as BEE energy Manager certificate will be preferred.

Education : : B.E / B.Tech - Mechanical

Profile for the Energy Manager :

Mechanical Engineer with 10 to 15 years of experience working in any large Industry in the area of Energy and Utility services. Should have knowledge of Bio-Mass / Coal Fired Boilers, Oil / gas fired boilers, Air-compressors, Chilling Units, Steam / Water / Air distribution and monitoring system etc. To identify Energy Conservation Measures from data analysis and drive the consumption reduction measures, able to identify measures for carbon net zero and maximize green energy usage. Prefer candidate with Energy Management Certificate.

Job Description :

His job would include the following activities :

• Responsible for optimizing power, fuel, water and air costs at manufacturing locations and reduce the target YoY by 10%.
• Will have to focus on efficiency of generation, transmission and consumption of power, fuel, water and air.
• Detailed action plans for short term and long term to be developed and monitor the implementation plan.
• Identification of Big ticket ideas with respect to Energy Savings YoY.
• Will need to travel to Plants on regular basis.
• Will need to attend seminar and energy summits to gather information on the latest technology.
