Project Title : Promoting Fairtrade Awareness through Wall Art – Grape Farmers’ Organisations in Nashik
Location : Nashik District, Maharashtra, India
1. Background
Fairtrade NAPP supports smallholder farmers across Asia and the Pacific in building sustainable livelihoods through ethical trade, fair pricing, and climate-resilient practices.
As part of its ongoing awareness and visibility initiative, Fairtrade NAPP aims to engage local communities in creative communication on Fairtrade values through public wall paintings at grape farmer organisations locations in Nashik , Maharashtra — a key hub for Fairtrade grape production in India.
2. Objective of the Assignment
The main objective of this assignment is to design and execute wall paintings that visually communicate key Fairtrade concepts such as gender equality, Fairtrade Premium, climate resilience, environmental protection, etc.
These paintings will serve as educational and motivational visuals for farmers, workers, and visitors, enhancing awareness and reinforcing Fairtrade identity at each site.
3. Scope of Work
The selected agency will be responsible for :
- Conducting a preliminary site visit (if required) to assess wall conditions, size, and suitability for painting.
- Executing 04 wall paintings per producer organisations ( 04 Producer Organisation) OR 03 wall painting per organisations ( 05 Producer organisations)
Total : 15-16 paintings
Each painting’s size will vary depending on the available wall space at each site.Ensuring surface preparation, base coating, and long-lasting high quality weather proof paint suitable for outdoor exposure.Painting the approved designs and concepts provided by Fairtrade NAPP .Submitting photographs and a completion report after each location is finalized.4. Concept and Artwork
The themes and graphic designs for the wall paintings will be provided by Fairtrade NAPP .Concepts will highlight :No Child labourGender EqualityClimate Action & No DeforestationFairtrade PremiumFairtrade Minimum PriceDecent LivelihoodNo pesticidesOthersThe agency is expected to reproduce the given artwork faithfully while ensuring aesthetic alignment with the local context.
5. Deliverables
Execution of 8-9 wall paintings per location at 02 producer organisation sites (total : 16-18 paintings).Submission of high-resolution photographs (before, during, and after painting).A short completion report including wall dimensions, site details, and total surface area covered.6. Timeline
Duration : [15 Days including weekends] from the date of contract signing.Schedule : To be finalised in consultation with Fairtrade NAPP and local SPO representatives.7. Qualifications of the Agency
Proven experience in community wall art, mural painting, or outdoor awareness campaigns .Ability to deploy skilled artists and ensure timely completion.Strong understanding of rural or agricultural community engagement preferred.8. Budget and Payment Terms
The total project budget is EUR 2,000 (Two Thousand Euros) .This amount will cover all costs associated with the project, including :Artist and manpower feesPaints, materials, and toolsWall preparation and executionTravel, accommodation, and local logisticsDocumentation and reportingThe cost is inclusive of all taxes and expenses .Payment will be made in instalments as agreed upon, based on completion and approval of deliverables.9. Reporting and Coordination
The selected agency will coordinate directly with :
Fairtrade NAPP India Team and designated representatives of the grape farmers’ organisations in Nashik for scheduling and site access.
