Backend Engineer – DeFi (Remote)
Our client is a leading DeFi derivatives platform redefining how users trade on-chain derivatives. With deep liquidity, instant execution, and up to 25x leverage across 70+ markets, they’re building one of the most advanced decentralized trading experiences on Ethereum, powered by the Synthetix protocol on Optimism for low gas fees and high performance.
As a backend engineer, you’ll play a critical role in building and scaling the systems that power their trading infrastructure. You’ll work on high-performance backend services, smart contract integrations, and on-chain transaction systems that drive one of the most ambitious products in DeFi.
What you’ll do :
- Design and implement scalable, low-latency backend systems for trading, data processing, and risk management
- Collaborate with frontend, product, and blockchain teams to deliver seamless platform functionality
- Develop APIs and backend architecture for reliable, high-speed trade execution
- Maintain top-tier standards of security, performance, and reliability
- Mentor developers, conduct code reviews, and drive engineering best practices
