Job description

Orbit & Skyline is looking forward to onboarding a highly skilled “ Electrical / Electronic Engineer ” with a good understanding of various electronics / electrical components. The candidate will be part of a team assisting in the delivery of efficient engineering support and solutions to customers while also contributing to the development of the Indian semiconductor ecosystem.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate electrical products and systems by designing testing methods
  • Work on obsolescence activities with to qualify replacements, perform testing to qualify and release in the system along with the documentation
  • End-to-end ownership : Work collaboratively with the cross-functional team comprising mechanical, software, system and process engineering (in different geographies) to develop and qualify engineering solutions
  • Rapidly generate design concepts that will develop into detailed drawings to manufacture those concepts.
  • Participate in design reviews to present the design throughout the different phases of design and development.

Required Qualifications :

  • Must have a bachelor’s degree in electrical / Electronic with experience of 3-5 years.
  • Master's degree is preferred with 1 year of experience.
  • Must be comfortable working with US-based timings.

    • Mandatory Skills :

  • Must have a good understanding of the electronics components, schematics / system interconnect.
  • Must be able to select and recommend components depending upon application and circuit requirements.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Critical / system-level thinking.
  • Good project management skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

    • Good to have :

  • Exposure to working on part lifecycle management, change orders using any PLM system.
  • Experience in working on electronic components obsolescence
  • Understanding on PCB and components
  • Hands-on experience of testing electronics components- bench-level test and system-level test
  • Hands-on experience with AUTOCAD / Zuken / PCAD software.
