Job description
  • Identify, develop, and nurture existing and new business relationships, identify prospects, and pursue potential opportunities to out license products in countries like Australia, New Zealand, US, Canada, South Africa
  • Build strategy for each market with respect to product portfolio allocation among various clients
  • Ensure order invoicing and supply to the clients.
  • Review patent landscape, competition in countries, product trends, market size and select products for development and filing.
  • Understand the development and filing cost and overall cost of project and calculate ROI based on volume and target prices
  • Prepare proposals for clients for out licensing, keeping market prices, costing and ensuring maximum profitability to the company.
  • Build relationships working closely with service providers such as CROs, QPPV, GLP Labs, regulatory consultants, Patent attorneys, Distribution channel partners for regulated markets.
  • Work with Project management team to ensure the projects are delivered in time to the satisfaction of the client.
  • Work with regulatory team to ensure products selected are filed and registrations received as per time lines.
  • Should work with R&D, Project and regulatory to understand the challenges for product development and filing
  • Coordinate with country and regional managers to build strategy with respect to clients, product portfolio, revenue and profitability targets.
  • Provide company leadership feedback on customer needs, problems, identify opportunities, competitive activities, and potential for new sales of products and services.
  • Identify opportunities for organic and inorganic growth in Australia, NZ, US, Canada, SA including buying of MA
  • Maintain relationships with key individuals in the industry and have extensive and up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and key collaborations and partnerships.
  • Actively participate in industry tradeshows, conferences, networking events, and client on-site and off-site meetings, as well as internal business development meetings.
  • This position requires an experienced leader who can drive results in a demanding environment, leveraging strong interpersonal and management skills to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • This individual will also be responsible for managing marketing and customer service activities, accountable for meeting and exceeding performance metrics including revenue goals.
  • Bachelor’s in science / pharmacy (preferred) with minimum 10 years of BD background
  • Not less than 10 years of relevant exposure (country manager) of working in any regulated market preferably in US, Canada, Australia or Europe.
  • MBA with Marketing & BD specialization will be an added advantage.
  • Should have extensive understanding in registrations requirement, product development requirement, portfolio management and challenges for various regulated markets.
