We're currently recruiting for an exceptional opportunity for a commercially minded leader to step into an M&A Advisor role within a unique advisory firm helping private businesses scale, prepare for exit, or navigate strategic change.
This is not your traditional M&A role. In fact, we’re not looking for a typical investment banker or corporate financier. What we need is someone who brings :
- Commercial acumen
- A deep understanding of how small and mid-sized businesses operate
- The drive and resilience to build relationships, generate opportunities, and win new business
This role would suit someone with a background in finance, accounting, business ownership, or commercial operations who is now looking for something more entrepreneurial — with a significantly higher earning potential.
What You Will Be Doing
- Work closely with business owners to understand their growth or exit aspirations
- Guide them through structured campaigns designed to drive strategic interest in their business
- Conduct commercial reviews and exploratory meetings to qualify opportunities
- Lead business development campaigns (with lead support) and nurture long-term client relationships
- Manage client project delivery in line with process and campaign milestones
- Operate with a balance of client campaign management (60%) and business development (40%)
What We Are Looking For
- Strong commercial instincts and proven business insight
- Experience working with or within small to mid-sized businesses
- Financial or operational background preferred but not essential (e.g. ex-CFO, GM, strategy, commercial manager, entrepreneur)
- Confidence and maturity to advise business owners and engage credibly at founder / CEO level
- Ability to work independently while being part of a collaborative national team
- Comfortable with business development, lead qualification and relationship-based sales
- Willing to take a risk on a new career move
Why This Role
- Base salary is low; however, the average M&A advisor is earning $400,000 ++++ per year
- Uncapped earning potential with generous incentive model
