We are looking for an experienced

API Backend Engineer

with strong expertise in

Java, Spring Boot, REST API design, and database management . The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services and integrations. Experience with

messaging systems like Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Azure Service Bus , and

GraphQL

will be considered a strong plus.

Key Responsibilities :

Design, develop, and maintain scalable

RESTful APIs

using

Java and Spring Boot .

Collaborate with frontend developers, architects, and product managers to define and deliver robust backend solutions.

Implement and maintain

database schemas , queries, and stored procedures for high-performance data access.

Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability.

Integrate messaging or event-driven systems like

Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Azure Service Bus .

Contribute to the design and development of

GraphQL APIs

(optional but preferred).

Ensure best practices in coding standards, security, and version control (Git).

Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical documentation.

Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

8+ years of professional experience

in backend development.

Strong hands-on experience with

Java

and

Spring Boot .

Deep understanding of

REST API

design and implementation.

Experience working with

relational databases

(e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle).

Solid understanding of

OOPs ,

microservices architecture , and

design patterns .

Experience with

CI / CD pipelines , version control (Git), and testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito).

Good to Have / Strong Plus :

Experience with

Kafka ,

RabbitMQ ,

Azure Service Bus , or other messaging systems.

Familiarity with

GraphQL .

Knowledge of

cloud platforms

such as

Azure ,

AWS , or

GCP .

Exposure to

containerization

(Docker, Kubernetes).
