Job Summary
Synechron is seeking a skilled and experienced VisionPLUS Developer to join our team. The primary purpose of this role is to design, develop, and support VisionPLUS-based solutions within the financial services domain. The successful candidate will contribute to delivering robust, scalable, and efficient banking technology solutions, ensuring seamless operation and resolution of issues across various VisionPLUS modules. This role plays a vital part in supporting our clients’ digital transformation initiatives and maintaining the stability of critical banking systems.
Software Requirements
- Required : VisionPLUS Modules (CMS Posting, FAS, TRAMS, VMx) with substantial hands-on experienceMainframe Technologies : JCL, COBOL, VSAM, CICSDevelopment methodologies : Agile (Scrum / Kanban) or Waterfall
- Preferred : Vision Flex frameworkExperience with Batch Processing systems and subsystemsVersion control tools (e.g., Git, Rational Team Concert)Knowledge of cloud integration tools (preferred but not mandatory)
Overall Responsibilities
Design, develop, and enhance VisionPLUS modules to meet evolving business needsMonitor production and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) environments to identify and resolve incidents promptlyProvide technical support and solutions for issues related to VisionPLUS subsystems such as CMS Posting, FAS, TRAMS, VMxCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including Business Analysts, QA, and Infrastructure, to deliver quality solutionsDevelop detailed functional and technical design documents aligned with client requirementsLead incident resolution activities, ensuring minimal impact on business operationsAssist in the deployment, stabilization, and ongoing maintenance of VisionPLUS solutionsShare technical expertise and mentor team members to promote knowledge sharingContribute to continuous improvement initiatives for process efficiencies and code qualityTechnical Skills (By Category)

Attend daily stand-ups, planning, and coordination meetings with the development and support teamsDiagnose and resolve technical issues related to VisionPLUS modules in both production and testing environmentsImplement enhancements, bug fixes, and configuration changes based on business requirementsCollaborate with Business Analysts to interpret functional requirements and translate them into technical solutionsConduct code reviews and participate in testing and validation activitiesDocument technical specifications, issue resolutions, and operational proceduresEscalate complex issues to senior team members or management as neededMonitor system performance and suggest improvements to optimize efficiency and stabilityQualifications
Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent discipline from an accredited institutionCertifications : Industry-recognized certifications in Mainframe (e.g., COBOL, CICS) or related technologies are advantageous but not mandatoryTraining : Ongoing professional development in relevant tools and frameworksProfessional Competencies
