accountant is responsible for managing and analyzing an organization's financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with laws and regulations. Key duties include preparing financial statements, managing budgets, processing tax returns, performing audits, reconciling accounts, and providing financial insights to support business decisions. They use accounting software and possess strong analytical and communication skills to maintain financial health and guide strategic financial planning for the company.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Record-Keeping : Documenting, organizing, and maintaining accurate financial records and transactions.
Financial Reporting : Preparing and presenting financial statements like balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Tax Compliance : Calculating taxes, preparing, and filing tax returns in compliance with government regulations.
Auditing and Analysis : Reviewing financial documents to identify discrepancies, analyzing financial data to spot trends, and assisting with internal or external audits.
Budgeting : Monitoring spending, compiling budget reports, and contributing to budget forecasting and management.
Compliance : Ensuring that financial activities and records comply with all relevant financial regulations and accounting standards.

Typical Duties
Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial closing activities.

Manage treasury payment issues, including domestic and foreign payments.
Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to provide financial guidance.
Advise on strategies for cost reduction, revenue enhancement, and profit maximization
Requirements
Work experience as an Accountant. Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Hands-on experience with accounting software like FreshBooks and QuickBooks. Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables.
