AWS Senior Developer

Job Description

About the Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Backend Developer to join our dynamic engineering team. This role is ideal for someone with deep expertise in AWS serverless architecture , Python and Node.js programming , and experience building scalable microservices. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining backend services that power our applications, with a strong emphasis on clean architecture, performance, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities :

Design, develop, and deploy backend services using AWS Serverless Stack , including Step Functions , Lambda , API Gateway , DynamoDB , etc.

Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in Python and Node.js .

Work with the Django framework to develop RESTful APIs and backend services.

Build and maintain microservices that are scalable, secure, and well-documented.

Containerize applications using Docker and contribute to CI / CD pipelines.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including frontend developers, DevOps, QA, and product managers to deliver high-quality features.

Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical decision-making.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues across environments and multiple services.

Mentor junior developers and contribute to team knowledge sharing.

Required Qualifications :

5+ years of professional experience as a backend or full-stack developer.

Strong hands-on experience with AWS Serverless technologies (Lambda, Step Functions, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, etc.).

Proficiency in Python and Node.js .

Solid experience with the Django framework .

Strong understanding of microservices architecture .

Experience with Docker and containerized environments.

Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI / CD pipelines.

Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong attention to detail.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to Have :

Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Datadog).

Knowledge of testing frameworks and best practices (unit, integration, E2E).

Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or AWS CDK.
