Job Description : About the Role :
We are seeking a highly experienced Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to implement and support our current and future DNS architecture in private / public cloud.
You will be directly responsible for ensuring the scalability, resilience, automation, and performance optimization of our DNS environment by leveraging Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Ansible, and Terraform, or Pulumi.
This is a deeply technical role requiring expert-level understanding of DNS, NTP, LDAP and extensive working knowledge on Linux Operating systems.
You will also collaborate with platform and SRE teams to maintain secure, performant, and multi-tenant-isolated services that serve high-throughput, mission-critical applications.
Key Responsibilities :
- Implement and support large scale DNS Architecture that stretches private & public cloud across multiple regions.
- Implement and support Infoblox DDI solutions (DNS, IPAM, DHCP), Cloudflare DNS management, Google & AWS DNS services.
- Implement and support highly reliable NTP and LDAP services on Linux instances.
- Implement Infrastructure as code leveraging CI / CD automation, Ansible, Terraform / Pulumi, Python and Bash for automated provisioning of DNS services.
- Build and manage CI / CD pipelines for infrastructure updates, patches, and rollbacks.
- Automate monitoring, alerting, and self-healing with GitOps and observability tools (Prometheus, Loki, Grafana).
- Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and scalable operations.
- Troubleshoot and analyze performance across hypervisors, storage, and networking.
- Support on-call rotation, incident response, and root cause 5+ in managing global DNS, NTP and LDAP systems on Linux Operating Systems.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code with Ansible, Terraform, or Pulumi.
- Expertise with Infoblox DDI systems (or similar enterprise DNS systems : BlueCat, Bind9, CloudFlare, GCP and AWS DNS services).
- Familiar with various Infrastructure technology stacks like Hypervisor Technologies (KVM, Vsphere,), storage protocols (SDS) (iSCSI, NFS, CEPH), L2 / L3 Networking.
- Strong Linux (RHEL / CentOS / Ubuntu) systems engineering background with advanced scripting in Python, Bash, or Go.
- Fluency with Git, CI / CD pipelines, and automated test frameworks.
- Strong experience supporting mission critical 24x7 customer facing production environments.
- Demonstrated success building or maintaining multi-region or high-availability OpenStack clusters.
- Ability to write technical documentation and contribute to community wikis or knowledge bases and background in large enterprise infrastructure environments.
Nice to have :
Working experience implementing OpenLDAP & NTP services (preferably Microchip SyncServer systems).Familiar with Cisco UCS Blade Servers (or similar server Infrastructure), Block / File Storage (Soft defined storage preferred).Understanding of security best practices for system patching and security compliance (e.g., CIS, NIST).Background in telco, edge cloud environments.Additional Information :
