Job description5+ years of experience with Ellucian Banner® software suite (Banner 9 preferred). Strong Oracle DBA skills (RMAN, OEM, Dataguard, PL / SQL scripting). Hands-on with Tomcat & WebLogic administration . Experience in database backup / recovery, disaster recovery, and system performance tuning. Strong knowledge of Linux / RHEL 8 scripting. Exposure to Single Sign-On (SSO), Banner 9 Admin Pages, Ethos Identity . Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field. Experience with observability tools (New Relic preferred).
🔹 About the Role :
We are looking for an experienced Banner DBA to support and manage our Ellucian Banner® ERP environment. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Oracle Database Administration, Banner ERP (Banner 9), and related integration tools. This role requires expertise in performance tuning, upgrades, and system optimization while ensuring seamless ERP functionality.
🔹 Key Responsibilities :
- Install, configure, and upgrade Ellucian Banner® ERP and related tools.
- Provide full lifecycle support for Banner ERP and Oracle environments (Oracle 19c).
- Manage database & application installation, configuration, backup, recovery, and cloning.
- Perform proactive system performance monitoring & tuning (AWR, ASH, optimization).
- Implement Disaster Recovery strategies and ensure high system availability.
- Work with Ellucian tools (ESM, Application Navigator, BEIS, Ethos Identity, Workflow, Degree Works, ePrint).
- Support integration with 3rd-party applications (e.g., AppWorx, Evisions, Canvas LMS).
- Configure and manage Tomcat / WebLogic environments.
- Develop shell scripts on RHEL 8 / Linux to automate tasks.
- Ensure compliance with SAFE (Scaled Agile Framework) and audit standards.
