Job Summary

We are seeking two experienced Senior Linux Automation Engineers to lead the design, deployment, and operation of automated patch, vulnerability, and configuration compliance frameworks across Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) endpoints. The role involves scripting, integration, compliance reporting, and collaboration with security and audit teams in a large-scale enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Patch Management Automation

Design and implement automated patch remediation for RHEL 7 / 8 / 9 systems.

Develop and maintain scripts (Bash, Python, YAML) for compliance enforcement.

Schedule and deploy OS and application patches in a staged and controlled manner.

Integrate patch management with enterprise dashboards and reporting tools.

Develop automated remediation playbooks for CVEs and STIG / CIS benchmarks.

2. Systems Integration & Compliance

Integrate with enterprise tools : SIEM, ITSM, LDAP, PIM / PAM, Red Hat IPA / Satellite.

Ensure compliance with IRDAI, CERT-In, ISO27001 : 2022, and other regulatory standards.

Generate audit-ready reports and dashboards for patch status and vulnerability closure.

3. Monitoring & Incident Response

Real-time monitoring of patch management systems for uptime and performance.

Troubleshoot issues and ensure minimal disruption during remediation cycles.

Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.

4. Documentation & Training

Maintain detailed SOPs, deployment guides, and compliance documentation.

Provide training and knowledge transfer to LIC staff.

Support VAPT closure and statutory compliance reporting.

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.

Experience

Minimum 3 years of experience in Linux system administration and automation.

Proven experience in enterprise patch management and compliance frameworks.

Technical Skills

Advanced proficiency in RHEL 7 / 8 / 9.

Strong scripting skills : Bash, Python, YAML.

Experience with automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Red Hat Satellite).

Familiarity with any Patching tools BigFix, ManageEngine etc.

Knowledge of integration protocols : SNMP, WinRM, SSH.

Certifications (Preferred)

RHCE (Red Hat Certified Engineer
