Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop and execute regional sales strategies aligned with overall business objectives.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a regional sales team to achieve or exceed sales targets and KPIs.
- Drive new customer acquisition while ensuring successful adoption and retention of existing clients.
- Maintain strong relationships with key accounts , ensuring customer satisfaction and minimizing churn.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to set monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
- Conduct regular performance reviews , provide feedback, and implement training programs to enhance team productivity.
- Analyze regional market trends to identify growth opportunities and propose new products, services, or sales strategies.
- Prepare and manage the regional sales budget , optimize resource allocation, and recommend process improvements.
- Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and industry events as required.
Key Skills Needed
Proven ability to manage multiple accounts and lead a high-performing regional sales team.Strong experience in sales forecasting, KPI management, and customer base expansion .Hands-on experience with CRM software and sales performance tracking tools.Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven decision-making approach.Willingness to travel across South India as required.Requirements
6–7 years of experience as a Regional Sales Manager, Area Sales Manager, or equivalent leadership role.Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline; MBA in Sales & Marketing preferred.Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in regional or multi-location setups.Experience in managing teams of 10–15 members , including hiring, mentoring, and performance evaluation.Strong understanding of sales processes, forecasting, pipeline management, and KPI-based performance tracking .Ability to analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer insights to support informed decisions.Familiarity with CRM tools and sales performance dashboards .Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across all organizational levels.Willingness to travel extensively within South India .Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing business priorities.Skills Required
