Job description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute regional sales strategies aligned with overall business objectives.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a regional sales team to achieve or exceed sales targets and KPIs.
  • Drive new customer acquisition while ensuring successful adoption and retention of existing clients.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key accounts , ensuring customer satisfaction and minimizing churn.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to set monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews , provide feedback, and implement training programs to enhance team productivity.
  • Analyze regional market trends to identify growth opportunities and propose new products, services, or sales strategies.
  • Prepare and manage the regional sales budget , optimize resource allocation, and recommend process improvements.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and industry events as required.

Key Skills Needed

  • Proven ability to manage multiple accounts and lead a high-performing regional sales team.
  • Strong experience in sales forecasting, KPI management, and customer base expansion .
  • Hands-on experience with CRM software and sales performance tracking tools.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven decision-making approach.
  • Willingness to travel across South India as required.
  • Requirements

  • 6–7 years of experience as a Regional Sales Manager, Area Sales Manager, or equivalent leadership role.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline; MBA in Sales & Marketing preferred.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in regional or multi-location setups.
  • Experience in managing teams of 10–15 members , including hiring, mentoring, and performance evaluation.
  • Strong understanding of sales processes, forecasting, pipeline management, and KPI-based performance tracking .
  • Ability to analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer insights to support informed decisions.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and sales performance dashboards .
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across all organizational levels.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within South India .
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing business priorities.
