Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Technical Specialist (VDI) with deep expertise in enterprise Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) technologies, VMware Horizon, and hybrid cloud environments. The candidate will be responsible for designing, deploying, and supporting VDI solutions in large-scale enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Hands-on deployment and administration of Horizon infrastructure in large-scale enterprise environments.
- Manage and support Omnissa Horizon product suite, WorkspaceONE Access, DEM, and 3rd-party IDM integration.
- Work on VMware and Microsoft technologies, ensuring seamless operations and troubleshooting.
- Provide support in hybrid cloud architectures including AWS, Azure, and on-premises solutions.
- Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting for Horizon versions, ESXi, vSphere, and related cloud platforms.
- Conduct log analysis and develop basic scripts to automate daily operations.
- Create HLDs, LLDs, and solution design documents.
- Troubleshoot user-level VDI issues and provide support in Windows Server administration.
- Work on Hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI) environments.
- Collaborate with customers, OEMs, and vendors (Microsoft, VMware, etc.) for escalation and resolution.
- Mentor junior team members, conduct knowledge-sharing sessions, and ensure best practices are followed.
Primary Skills
8+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure.4+ years of proven experience with VMware Enterprise Products and EUC Horizon.Strong hands-on experience with Omnissa Horizon (4+ years) including WorkspaceONE Access and DEM.Expertise in VDI deployments, VMware / Microsoft technologies, and 3rd party IDM integration.Strong knowledge of TCP / IP, LAN technologies (switching, routing, DNS).Good Windows Server administration and troubleshooting skills.Hands-on experience with Hyper-converged infrastructure.Secondary Skills
Fluency in English (verbal and written).Strong communication, presentation, and documentation skills.Good stakeholder management and customer-facing experience.Team player with mentoring ability for junior / L1 team members.Self-motivated and results-oriented.Willingness to work in shifts (US / UK time zones) and rotational on-call support, including night shifts.Education
BE / BTech, Diploma, BSc, MCA, MCM (with IT specialization).Certifications (Preferred)
