Chief Surveyor

Job Description

• Lead and oversee all survey-related activities for the project.
• Ensure accuracy in setting out works, alignment control, track geometry, and topographic mapping.
• Supervise survey teams, allocate work, and monitor performance.
• Verify and validate survey reports, drawings, and GIS / AutoCAD outputs.
• Coordinate with design, construction, and quality teams for resolving survey-related issues.
• Maintain survey records, benchmarks, and data as per project and client requirements.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications.
• Provide technical guidance and training to junior surveyors and field staff.
• Act as the primary point of contact with consultants / clients for all survey-related matters.

Requirements

Experience Requirements

At least 7 years’ experience as a Surveyor In-charge handling Railway / Highway projects in a PMC

or Construction Agency.

At least 4 years’ experience in a Manager or higher position in a Railway PSU engaged in construction

projects, along with 6 years’ experience as Surveyor.
