Job Description
- Lead and oversee all survey-related activities for the project.
- Ensure accuracy in setting out works, alignment control, track geometry, and topographic mapping.
- Supervise survey teams, allocate work, and monitor performance.
- Verify and validate survey reports, drawings, and GIS / AutoCAD outputs.
- Coordinate with design, construction, and quality teams for resolving survey-related issues.
- Maintain survey records, benchmarks, and data as per project and client requirements.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications.
- Provide technical guidance and training to junior surveyors and field staff.
- Act as the primary point of contact with consultants / clients for all survey-related matters.
Requirements
Experience Requirements
Total Professional Experience : Minimum 15 years in surveying, preferably in large-scale infrastructure projects.Relevant Experience (any one of the following)At least 7 years’ experience as a Surveyor In-charge handling Railway / Highway projects in a PMC
or Construction Agency.
At least 4 years’ experience in a Manager or higher position in a Railway PSU engaged in construction
projects, along with 6 years’ experience as Surveyor.
Key Skills & Competencies
Proficiency in modern survey instruments (Total Station, DGPS, Auto Level, etc.).Knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other survey-related software.Strong understanding of railway / highway alignment, curves, gradients, and track geometry.Leadership and team management skills.Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving abilities.Familiarity with international and Indian railway / highway standards.Requirements
Qualification Diploma in Civil Engineering (Mandatory) Graduate Degree in Civil Engineering (Preferred)
