About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer / Data Analyst to join our dynamic data team supporting a leading UK-based Financial Services client. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience across modern data engineering and analytics tools, with strong expertise in designing and maintaining scalable data pipelines and analytical solutions.

You will work closely with business stakeholders, data scientists, and analysts to deliver high-quality, reliable, and insightful data solutions that drive critical business decisions in the financial trading and brokerage domain.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL pipelines and data workflows using Matillion, DBT, and FiveTran .
• Build, optimise, and manage data models and warehouses in Snowflake .
• Write and maintain robust Python scripts for data transformation and automation tasks.
• Develop dashboards and reports using Power BI , Tableau , or Sigma to provide actionable insights.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance across all systems.
• Work with stakeholders from Exchange Trading, Brokerage, and Risk Management teams to support analytics and reporting needs.
• Troubleshoot performance issues and optimise data processing efficiency.
• Stay updated with emerging data engineering tools and best practices.
