Job Title : Embedded Hardware Architect
About the Role
Define the overall hardware architecture of embedded systems based on technical complexity and requirements. Possess comprehensive knowledge of the hardware design flow and provide technical guidance to the team.
Responsibilities
- Requirements gathering
- Architecture and high-level block diagram design
- Interface requirements & design aspects of Architecture
- Scalable, Upgradable & Test based architecture
- Incorporating FMEA & Risk
- PCB layout verification with consideration for EMI / EMC issues
- Design validation and integration
- Component selection
- Prototype development and debugging
- Board and system-level testing
Ensure adherence to hardware design standards and methodologies. Document design specifications and implementation details. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to hardware engineers and PCB layout engineers.
Qualifications
Education : B.Tech / M.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, or related field (preferred).Experience : Minimum 8 years in embedded hardware development.Required Skills
Hands-on experience with processors such as TI, NXP, Qualcomm.Expertise in power supply design including :SMPSDC / DC converters (Buck, Boost, LDO)AC to DC convertersBattery Management SystemsProficient in communication protocols : I2C, SPI, CAN, UART, JTAG, CSI, LVDS, MIPI, RS-232, RS-485, USB, Ethernet.Familiarity with wireless and peripheral technologies : GPS, GSM, Wi-Fi, BLE, ZigBee, PCIe, HDMI, SD Card, LCD, PCI.Experience with debugging / lab tools such as JTAG, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, Function Generator.Experience with memory technologies : EEPROM, NOR, NAND, LPDDR4 / 5, DDR3 / 4, eMMC, RF protocols.Proven ability to manage multiple projects for global and local clients.Skilled in schematic and PCB design tools : Altium Designer, OrCAD, Mentor Graphics, PADS, KiCad.Design of Six Sigma.
