and maintaining the company's centralized customer and marketing database. This role
ensures that customer and product data is clean, accurate, and up-to-date, enabling the sales
and marketing teams to target the right industries, customers, and opportunities efficiently.
The position will also support business development campaigns with curated data lists,
reports, and analytics.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Database Management
- Consolidate and clean existing customer, industry, and product data from multiple
Excel files into a single master database.
- Standardize data formats (industry categories, product codes, contact formats, location
codes).
- Ensure all customer contact details, industry types, product interests, and purchase
histories are correctly recorded.
- Maintain up-to-date records for 2,500 customers across 25 industries and 100
products.
- Assign and update Industry Tags and Product Tags for each customer to enable
targeted marketing.
2. Coordination & Data Collection
- Work closely with sales and business development teams to update customer data
after visits, calls, or campaigns.
- Collect and input data on new leads, prospects, and industry contacts from
exhibitions, referrals, and marketing campaigns.
- Track product inquiries, trial requests, and sample shipments.
3. Reporting & Insights
- Create weekly and monthly reports on :
o Industry / product coverage gaps.
o Customer engagement (active / inactive customers).
o Campaign results (open rates, responses, conversions).
- Provide custom filtered lists for marketing and sales campaigns.
- Highlight potential cross-selling opportunities based on purchase history and product
relevance.
4. System & Tool Management
- Manage and maintain the master database in Excel, Google Sheets, or CRM.
- Implement data validation, dropdowns, and error checks to minimize entry mistakes.
- Link documents such as TDS, MSDS, brochures to relevant products / customers for
quick access.
- Support migration to a CRM platform if implemented in the future.
Qualifications & Skills :
- Graduate in Commerce, Science, or Business Administration.
- 2–4 years' experience in data management, CRM handling, or sales / marketing
support.
- Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP / XLOOKUP, filters,
conditional formatting, data validation).
- Familiarity with CRMs like Zoho, HubSpot, or Airtable (optional but preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
- Good communication skills to coordinate with internal teams.
