• Experience in Palo Alto (4 years) : Security policy creation, implementation, troubleshooting, Panorama, deployment, VPN / Remote Access Networks.
• Cloud : Azure or AWS : Must have used it with respect to Palo Alto (or any other firewall).
• Cisco ISE - this is used for authentication, (Radius or TACACS is used with Palo alto so if anyone is missing do not consider).
• Load Balancers : Must have troubleshooting experience, must know how loadbalancers work.
• Proxies (like blue coat, Zscaler etc.,) - Good to have.
• IPS & IDS - Intrusion Prevention System & Intrusion Detection Systems - Any good Network security candidate will have experience here as these systems are the basis of any firewall wherein threats / intrusion (Hacking in layman terms) are detected. Its a System not a tool as some candidates might say.
• Minimum 9 years of experience in designing, configuring, and implementing enterprise-class network solutions.
• Min 7 plus years of Experience in Delivering Network Security Operations in various security products such as Check point / Palo Alto Firewalls / Cisco firewall.
• Good knowledge on authentication methods like radius &tacacs.
• Hands on experience and good understanding and troubleshooting skills on Citrix NetScaler Load balancers / Web Application firewall.
• Working knowledge on URL filtering / proxies / Antispam & IPS.
• Hands on experience in configuring URL filtering, file blocking and security profiles in Palo Alto firewalls.
• Experience in Firewalls VPN / Remote Access network
• Cloud Technology ( AWS, Azure)
• Prepare High level and low-level design documents based on customer requirements
• Must provide Level 3 technical support on high priority incidents related to network security to drive triage and problem resolution
• Implementing Changes with respect to security architectural level modifications
• In depth knowledge on various Network Security architecture.
• Firewall devices optimization such as rules consolidation / fine-tuning & periodic firewall rule base review
• Knowledge and ability to identify the risk on the customer Network Security architecture & suggest solution to identified risk according to the best practices.
• Should have experience in handling and responding to Security incidents.
• Strong knowledge on Routing & Switching technology
• Should have basic knowledge on Windows, linux OS & commands
• Should have good presentation skills & Fair knowledge on ITIL Framework
• Excellent communication skills
