Reports to : Promoter / Fractional CHRO
Experience : 10–20 years
Role Purpose
To build and lead the HR function end-to-end, partnering closely with the promoters and the fractional CHRO. The role focuses on setting up HR systems, strengthening processes, driving culture, and owning people operations for a rapidly scaling consumer business.
The role is 40% HRBP and 60% HR Operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Own HR operations, policies, and processes end-to-end.
- Build and implement recruitment, onboarding, and HR governance frameworks.
- Work with the fractional CHRO to implement PMS and OD initiatives.
- Establish HR dashboards, compliance checklists, and SOPs.
- Strengthen culture, employee engagement, and grievance management.
- Support the promoters in scaling teams across sales, commercial, and operations.
- Manage payroll coordination, attendance, and HR systems (HRIS).
- Ensure statutory compliance (PF, ESIC, Shops & Establishment, etc.).
Candidate Profile
Must-Haves
10–18 years of HR generalist and leadership experience.Experience with promoter-led mid-sized companies.Hands-on HR operations plus practical PMS implementation exposure.Ability to set up HR systems and processes for a scaling organisation.Strong maturity, communication skills, and stakeholder management.Good-to-Haves
Experience in retail, FMCG, consumer, or multi-location businesses.Experience launching HR for new business units or brands.Avoid
Pure consultants / OD-only profiles.Theoretical HR leaders with little operational ownership.Candidates who can only work with large teams and heavy corporate structures.
