4PM is an independent, fast-growing digital news network focused on public-interest and impact journalism. We make new-age explainers with depth, clarity, and trust—scaling both long-form and shorts across YouTube, Instagram, and Shorts.
What you will own
- Edit long-form explainers, interviews, narrative journalism, and documentary-style pieces for YouTube
- Cut fast-turnaround reels, shorts, cold opens, punch-outs, and moments
- Build narrative arcs in the edit (tension, sequencing, pacing, emotional beats, cliffing)
- Collaborate with reporters / anchors to translate journalism → cinematic digital stories
- Sound design : SFX selection, pacing, music cue taste-setting
- Motion graphics (basic–intermediate) : lower thirds, infographics, maps, callouts
- Color, cleanup, delivery to broadcast-safe / output specs
- Maintain project hygiene : media management, pipelines, version control
Required skills
Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro as primary (Resolve is a bonus)Proven ability to cut in the style of Dhruv Rathee and Nitish Rajput — pacing, hook-first structure, dense information design, and clean motion / text treatmentsConversational story craft : structure, context, transitions, rhythmStrong reels culture literacy — knows which hooks work and whyUnderstands digital news language (not TV TRP language)Can ship fast without compromising editorial integrityHindi fluency ;working English
Portfolio with both reels and long-form samplesNice to have
