Google Cloud Engineer to manage and optimize our cloud infrastructure, enhance security, identify vulnerabilities in code, and support release management. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, cloud security best practices, and DevOps :
- Design, implement, and manage cloud-based solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Optimize compute, storage, and networking resources for performance and cost efficiency.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues in a scalable cloud environment.
- Implement cloud security best practices, ensuring identity & access management (IAM) policies are in place.
- Identify and remediate security vulnerabilities in the cloud infrastructure and application code.
- Ensure compliance with industry security standards (e. g., ISO, SOC2 HIPAA).
- Perform static and dynamic code analysis to identify security vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with development teams to fix security flaws in applications and infrastructure code (IaC).
- Automate security checks using CI / CD pipelines and integrate DevSecOps principles.
- Manage release cycles, deployments, and rollbacks in a cloud-native environment.
- Support CI / CD pipeline automation using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Google Cloud Build.
- Work closely with developers and QA teams to ensure smooth deployment of applications.
Requirements :
4- 5 years of experience as a Cloud Engineer or DevOps Engineer, preferably with GCP.Strong knowledge of Google Cloud services (e. g., Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, IAM, Cloud Functions, Kubernetes Engine).Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Google Deployment Manager.Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, or Go) for automation.Experience with security tools like Google Security Command Center, SonarQube, or SnykUnderstanding of containerization and orchestration using Docker & Kubernetes (GKE).Familiarity with CI / CD pipelines, Git workflows, and release management processes.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced DevOps environment.(ref : hirist.tech)
