Job description

Google Cloud Engineer to manage and optimize our cloud infrastructure, enhance security, identify vulnerabilities in code, and support release management. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, cloud security best practices, and DevOps :

  • Design, implement, and manage cloud-based solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Optimize compute, storage, and networking resources for performance and cost efficiency.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues in a scalable cloud environment.
  • Implement cloud security best practices, ensuring identity & access management (IAM) policies are in place.
  • Identify and remediate security vulnerabilities in the cloud infrastructure and application code.
  • Ensure compliance with industry security standards (e. g., ISO, SOC2 HIPAA).
  • Perform static and dynamic code analysis to identify security vulnerabilities.
  • Collaborate with development teams to fix security flaws in applications and infrastructure code (IaC).
  • Automate security checks using CI / CD pipelines and integrate DevSecOps principles.
  • Manage release cycles, deployments, and rollbacks in a cloud-native environment.
  • Support CI / CD pipeline automation using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Google Cloud Build.
  • Work closely with developers and QA teams to ensure smooth deployment of applications.

Requirements :

  • 4- 5 years of experience as a Cloud Engineer or DevOps Engineer, preferably with GCP.
  • Strong knowledge of Google Cloud services (e. g., Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, IAM, Cloud Functions, Kubernetes Engine).
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Google Deployment Manager.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, or Go) for automation.
  • Experience with security tools like Google Security Command Center, SonarQube, or Snyk
  • Understanding of containerization and orchestration using Docker & Kubernetes (GKE).
  • Familiarity with CI / CD pipelines, Git workflows, and release management processes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced DevOps environment.
