Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead – Senior Developer & Technical Representative with strong expertise in WERCS software and COTS systems , supporting Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) and regulatory compliance.
The ideal candidate will lead WERCS configuration, customization, and enhancement projects, provide deep technical and regulatory expertise, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires hands-on technical skills, system integration experience, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional and global teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the technical lead and subject matter expert (SME) for WERCS applications supporting EH&S and compliance operations.
- Configure, customize, and enhance WERCS modules to meet evolving business and regulatory requirements.
- Provide Level 4 (L4) troubleshooting support and oversee continuous improvement projects.
- Integrate WERCS with other enterprise systems using APIs and DTE (Data Transfer Engine) interfaces.
- Manage and maintain compliance data across multiple databases, including internal systems, external portals, and regulatory sites.
- Ensure adherence to EH&S and regulatory frameworks such as GHS, DG, TSCA, OSHA, EPA, EU REACH, ECHA , and other global regulations.
- Collaborate closely with business owners, compliance teams, and IT to align WERCS capabilities with organizational goals.
- Provide technical and functional guidance on COTS software used in regulatory and compliance environments.
- Ensure development and support activities comply with GxP and pharmaceutical SDLC standards.
Required Skills & Experience
Must Have :Hands-on experience with WERCS software and COTS applications (mandatory).Strong technical background with proficiency in SQL , .NET , and database management .Proven experience with system integration , API development , and DTE interfaces .Solid understanding of EH&S compliance , chemical regulations , and product stewardship processes.Familiarity with regulatory frameworks including GHS, DG, TSCA, OSHA, EPA, EU REACH, ECHA , etc.Experience in the pharmaceutical industry and working within GxP-regulated environments .Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience leading WERCS implementation or upgrade projects .Exposure to tools and integration with enterprise systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Special Note :
