Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a AI Hardware Engineer in Coimbatore. The Engineer will be responsible for developing and delivering projects and products.
Description
- Develop AI-powered hardware devices such as AI cameras, edge-computing modules, and sensor-based systems.
- Integrate and deploy AI / ML models (vision, audio, sensor analytics) on embedded and edge hardware.
- Optimize models for speed, accuracy, memory usage, and low-power performance on devices like Jetson, Raspberry Pi, and Coral TPU.
- Integrate multiple sensors such as camera modules, depth sensors, IMUs, GPS, and environmental sensors.
- Work with hardware communication interfaces including SPI, I2C, UART, USB, CAN, and GPIO.
- Develop embedded firmware for microcontrollers like ESP32, STM32, RP2040, and ARM Cortex.
- Implement real-time data capture, stream processing, and preprocessing pipelines.
- Build live video streaming pipelines using RTSP, RTMP, WebRTC, or custom protocols.
- Implement computer vision features such as object detection, tracking, people counting, and anomaly detection.
- Build alert systems using push notifications, cloud APIs, SMS, email gateways, or hardware alarms.
- Integrate connectivity modules such as WiFi, BLE, LoRa, and 4G / 5G for network communication.
- Use MQTT, HTTP, and WebSocket protocols for sending device data to cloud servers.
- Integrate devices with cloud platforms like AWS IoT, Azure IoT, GCP IoT, or custom Protowiz cloud platforms.
- Build and test hardware prototypes, performing PCB-level debugging and device calibration.
- Create and maintain BOM (Bill of Materials), component selection, and cost optimization for production.
- Support enclosure integration, thermal management, and hardware reliability testing.
- Prepare technical documentation, testing procedures, and deployment SOPs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for mass production and field installations.
- Provide ongoing technical support for deployed AI hardware systems and troubleshoot field issues.
