Position Title - Head of Safety & Environment

Required Experience -15+ Years

Qualification - B.E / B Tech, Diploma In Industrial Safety from DISH

Location - Bangalore

Broad objective of the role

Set the vision and lead UBL’s Safety and Environment agenda. Shape policies and frameworks that ensure safety and environment compliance and sustainability across all breweries. Champion a culture of people safety, health, and well-being, alongside environmental stewardship. Influence senior stakeholders to embed safety leadership at every level. Drive enterprise-wide initiatives for pollution control, waste reduction, energy efficiency, and climate impact mitigation. Act as a thought leader, enabling capability development and fostering innovation for long-term sustainability. Work closely with regional EHS teams to ensure alignment with broader safety and environmental strategies.

Key Accountabilities

Safety & Environment Compliances and Audits

• Review plans to improve safety and environmental performance drawn up by individual brewery teams and provide feedback; consolidate to develop the master plan / calendar for the Safety and Environment department.
• Drive adherence to all safety- and environment-related statutory compliances (e.g., pollution control, hazardous waste, water usage, energy, and air quality) across all breweries.
• Prepare internal and external annual safety and environment audit plans. Guide all stakeholders for corrective and preventive action plans basis the outcome.
