About the Role
We are looking for a highly driven and results-oriented Sales Manager to lead our remote sales team and drive revenue growth. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, mentoring the team, and ensuring alignment with the company's overall goals. This role requires a strong background in B2C / B2B sales, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of consistently exceeding targets.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Execution
- Develop, implement, and optimize sales strategies to achieve short- and long-term revenue targets.
- Create sales forecasts and plans aligned with business objectives and market potential.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across markets and segments.
Team Leadership
Recruit, train, manage, and motivate a high-performing remote sales team.Set clear KPIs and performance standards; conduct regular evaluations and feedback sessions.Provide coaching and professional development opportunities to support growth.Client Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships to drive client satisfaction and retention.Act as the escalation point for key client concerns or negotiation needs.Performance Monitoring & Reporting
Track and analyze sales performance metrics (pipeline, conversions, churn, etc.).Prepare and present detailed sales reports to senior leadership.Use CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) to manage data and workflow efficiency.Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with the marketing team to align campaigns with sales goals and provide feedback on lead quality.Collaborate with operations and product teams to ensure seamless client onboarding and service delivery.Market Intelligence
Conduct competitor analysis and market research to identify trends and inform strategic decisions.Stay updated with industry developments to maintain a competitive edge.Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field (MBA is a plus).Minimum 2-5 years of experience in sales, with at least 2 years in a sales leadership or managerial role.Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.Experience with sales forecasting, budgeting, and pipeline management.Strong understanding of sales performance metrics and CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently in a remote setup while managing distributed teams.Experience in inside sales, B2B / B2C models, and consultative selling preferred.Experience in the insurance or financial services industry is a strong plus.(ref : iimjobs.com)
