The PMO (Project Management Office) is primarily responsible for establishing, optimising, and maintaining robust project management processes and tools across our diverse portfolio. You will be the resident expert in Jira and Asana, ensuring these platforms are leveraged to their fullest potential for project planning, tracking, reporting, and collaboration. Your efforts will drive transparency, efficiency, and data-driven insights into project performance, enabling strategic decision-making across the organisation.
Must-Have Skills :
- 5-7 years of direct experience in a Project Management Office (PMO) or a dedicated project management tools administration role, with a proven track record of enhancing project delivery and reporting.
- Expert-level proficiency in configuring, customising, and administering Atlassian Jira and Asana. This includes creating and managing projects, workflows, custom fields, screens, issue types, dashboards, reports, and permissions.
- Strong understanding of various project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) and how to implement them effectively within Jira and Asana.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, specifically in dissecting project data from Jira and Asana to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Ability to negotiate and resolve conflicts related to tool usage, data standards, and project process adherence.
- Outstanding communication and collaboration skills.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Business Administration, Project Management) or equivalent practical experience.
Good to Have :
Demonstrated ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions to project management challenges using the capabilities of Jira and Asana.Experience working effectively with diverse, cross-functional teams in a fast-paced and evolving environment.Relevant project management certifications (e.g., PMP, CSM, ACP) or certifications specific to Jira / Asana administration.Key Responsibilities :
Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive project management systems primarily within Jira and Asana, ensuring adherence to best practices, consistency, and data integrity for all projects.Act as the primary administrator and subject matter expert for Jira and Asana, including managing user access, system configurations, updates, and integrations with other tools.Develop and optimise custom workflows, dashboards, and reports within Jira and Asana to meet the specific tracking and reporting needs of various teams and stakeholders.Conduct in-depth analysis of project data extracted from Jira and Asana to identify trends in project performance, resource utilisation, risks, and overall project health.Collaborate with project managers and team leads to establish clear project plans, define scope, allocate resources, and track progress effectively using Jira and Asana.Develop and deliver training sessions and user documentation for Jira and Asana to ensure all team members are proficient and utilise the tools consistently and efficiently.Stay abreast of new features, updates, and best practices for Jira and Asana, making recommendations for continuous improvement and maximising tool functionality.Facilitate project post-mortems and lessons learned sessions, utilising data and feedback captured within Jira and Asana to drive continuous process improvement.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to balance the needs of competing vendors, companies, consumers, internal customers, and teams.(ref : iimjobs.com)
