Production Engineer

The production engineer will oversee daily manufacturing operations, ensuring efficient use of resources, timely delivery of products, and adherence to quality standards. The role requires a practical, multi-skilled individual capable of managing manpower, machines, and materials in a dynamic small-scale setup.

Key Responsibilities

• Production Planning & Execution

o Prepare daily / weekly production schedules based on orders and inventory

o Allocate manpower and machines to meet targets efficiently

o Identify bottlenecks and implement low-cost improvements

o Minimize waste and downtime through lean practices

o Monitor in-process and final product quality

o Coordinate with Design / QC team to resolve defects and maintain standards

o Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed

o Troubleshoot minor breakdowns and coordinate repairs

o Track raw material usage and reorder levels

o Coordinate with stores and vendors for timely supply

o Maintain production logs, rejection reports, and maintenance records

o Ensure safety and statutory compliance (e.g., ISO 9001 : 2015 standards, pollution, labor laws)

o Train and supervise operators and technicians

o Foster a culture of discipline, safety, and productivity
