Position : AWS Data Engineer

Locations : Chennai, Hyderabad, Bangalore

Employment Type : Contract / Full-Time

Experience : 5+ years

Work Model : Hybrid (3 days per week in office)

About the Role :

We are seeking an experienced AWS Data Engineer to design, implement, and maintain scalable data solutions on AWS. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in serverless AWS services, data modeling, ETL processes, and SQL, with the ability to optimize data pipelines for performance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities :

Design, implement, and maintain data architecture for AWS-based data services.
Develop and optimize ETL processes to load and transform data efficiently in the data warehouse.
Write complex SQL queries to support data analysis, reporting, and business intelligence requirements.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
Optimize data models and pipelines for performance, reliability, and scalability.
Manage and maintain AWS serverless services including Glue, Lambda, DMS, RDS, Redshift, Athena, CloudFormation, and related resources.
Ensure best practices for data governance, security, and compliance.
Troubleshoot, monitor, and resolve data-related issues proactively.

Required Skills & Experience :

5+ years of hands-on experience as a Data Engineer, with strong expertise in AWS.

Proficient in Python and PySpark for data processing.

Hands-on experience with AWS services : Glue, Lambda, DMS, RDS, Redshift, Athena, CloudFormation, and other serverless tools.

Strong SQL skills for querying, reporting, and data analysis.

Experience in designing and implementing efficient ETL pipelines and data models.

Ability to work in a hybrid environment and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills :

Experience with performance tuning and optimization of data pipelines.

Familiarity with data governance, security, and compliance best practices.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
