Job Position : Associate Lead – AI / ML Engineering

Job Location : Gurgaon (Work From Office)

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and visionary Associate Lead – AI / ML Engineer to join our fast-growing E-commerce team. This role demands technical mastery, deep knowledge across AI / ML domains, and the ability to design scalable, secure ML systems for real-world applications. You will not only contribute as a hands-on expert but also help shape our AI strategy, mentor team members, and collaborate closely with stakeholders across technology and business functions.

Key Responsibilities

Architect, build, and deploy end-to-end ML systems at scale on cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).

Lead the technical design and evaluation of ML models and MLOps frameworks, ensuring alignment with business goals and system constraints.

Drive innovation across key AI domains such as NLP (incl. LLMs), Predictive Analytics, and optionally Computer Vision or Recommendation Engines.

Mentor and guide engineers, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, and continuous learning.

Partner with product and business stakeholders to define project roadmaps, validate impact, and deliver AI-powered features.

Stay ahead of the curve with advancements in AI / ML, proactively identifying opportunities to apply them in business contexts.

Essential

Technical Expertise : Proven hands-on experience as a Senior ML Engineer or equivalent role, with deep expertise in ML system development.

Cloud ML Systems : Strong background in designing and deploying secure, scalable AI systems on AWS, GCP, or Azure.

AI Breadth : In-depth knowledge in at least two of the following : NLP / LLMs, Predictive Analytics, Computer Vision, Recommendation Systems.

Model Evaluation : Ability to assess trade-offs across different models, frameworks, and tools with respect to performance, cost, and speed.

Continuous Learning : Active follower of AI / ML advancements, with a track record of bringing innovative solutions into production.

Desirable

Business Acumen : Ability to tie ML solutions to key business KPIs, build business cases, and understand cost structures (e.g., token vs. hosting costs).

Client Communication : Strong interpersonal skills with experience engaging senior stakeholders and translating complex tech into business value.

Product Thinking : Skilled at turning abstract AI visions into executable, revenue-impacting roadmaps.

Leadership : Demonstrated ability to mentor and grow engineering talent, with a hands-on leadership style.

Security & Ethics : A mindset that prioritizes secure, privacy-compliant, and ethically sound AI development.
