Job description

The Assistant Director - Technical Trainer for the CSE department at Chandigarh University, Mohali focuses on technical upskilling in key areas like DSA, DBMS, NOS , and competitive programming platforms (Hackerrank, Leetcode, Codechef).

Job Responsibilities

  • Design and conduct technical training : Lead the development, delivery, and evaluation of advanced training modules in Data Structures & Algorithms, Database Management Systems, and Network Operating Systems tailored for engineering students and faculty.
  • Competitive programming mentoring : Organize coaching sessions, workshops, and contests using Hackerrank, Leetcode, and Codechef to prepare students for industry placements and coding competitions.
  • Curriculum enhancement : Create custom training content, manuals, presentations, and e-learning modules on the latest practices in computer science and coding platforms.
  • Assessment and reporting : Evaluate training effectiveness through coding assessments, analytics from online platforms, trainee feedback, and maintain records for continuous improvement.
  • Support and guidance : Provide ongoing coaching, problem-solving assistance, and career mentoring related to competitive programming and technical interviews.
  • Collaboration : Work closely with academic teams to align training programs with department goals and coordinate integration of new industry-relevant tools or topics.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in DSA, DBMS, NOS , competitive programming (Hackerrank, Leetcode, Codechef), and relevant languages such as C++ and Python.
  • At least a B.Tech / B.E. or M.Tech in Computer Science Engineering (CSE) or related disciplines.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for delivering engaging technical workshops.
  • Proven experience in curriculum development, training evaluation, and technical mentorship, preferably within higher education.
  • At least 12 year of professional experience in a technical training or relevant programming role.
  • Preferred Expertise

  • Certifications in instructional design or related technical domains.
  • Familiarity with modern e-learning platforms and / or experience managing LMS tools.
  • Demonstrated competitive programming success or mentorship experience (Hackerrank, Leetcode, Codechef).
