Job Title : Database Administrator (Aurora PostgreSQL)

Location : Onsite – Gurgaon / Bangalore

Experience : 4+ Years

Employment Type : Full-Time

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Database Administrator (DBA) with strong expertise in Amazon Aurora (PostgreSQL) to support, optimize, and scale our cloud database infrastructure. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring high availability, performance, and security of our AWS-hosted databases while collaborating closely with engineering and DevOps teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer, configure, and maintain Aurora PostgreSQL clusters on AWS.
  • Handle backup, restore, replication , and failover configurations for production systems.
  • Optimize SQL queries, indexing strategies, and database performance.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot database health using Amazon CloudWatch , Performance Insights , and other tools.
  • Implement and enforce database security, compliance , and cost optimization best practices.
  • Partner with DevOps and application teams to support scalable deployments and efficient data workflows.

Required Skills

  • Hands-on experience managing Aurora PostgreSQL databases in production.
  • In-depth knowledge of AWS RDS , IAM , CloudWatch , and VPC networking .
  • Strong SQL skills with a focus on query tuning , index optimization , and performance troubleshooting .
  • Experience with replication , backups , and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Exposure to automation tools such as Terraform , CloudFormation , or Ansible is a plus.

  • AWS Certified Database – Specialty (or other relevant AWS certifications).
