Job description

Manager - Business Loan Collections Responsibilities :

  • Strategy and Leadership : Develop and execute comprehensive collection strategies for business loans to achieve recovery targets.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of collection officers, fostering a high-performance culture.

Operational Management :

  • Oversee daily collection activities, including portfolio allocation, call management, and field visits.
  • Ensure all collection activities comply with legal and company policies.
  • Performance Monitoring :

  • Analyze collection data and metrics to identify trends, forecast potential delinquencies, and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on collection performance to senior Management :
  • Collaborate with legal, credit, and sales teams to resolve complex collection cases.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to negotiate effective repayment plans.
  • Process Improvement :

  • Continuously evaluate and improve collection processes, systems, and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Risk Management :

  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks associated with delinquent accounts.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of high-risk Proven ability to lead, manage, and inspire a team to meet and exceed targets.
  • Analytical Skills :

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven approach to & Negotiation :
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to handle difficult conversations with debtors and internal stakeholders.
  • Domain Expertise :

  • In-depth knowledge of the business loan collection process, regulatory guidelines, and legal frameworks specific to the NBFC sector.
  • Technical Proficiency :

  • Proficient in using collection management software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
  • Education & Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.

  • A Master's degree (e.g., MBA) is A minimum of 6+ years of progressive experience in business loan collections, with a significant portion of that time in a managerial or leadership role within an NBFC
