Description : We are seeking a highly skilled Firmware Test Engineer with hands-on experience in MCAL device driver verification, RTOS-based testing, and automation development. The role involves participating in all phases of the verification lifecycle from requirements analysis to test strategy definition, automation, and compliance with automotive software standards (ISO 26262, ASPICE).
Key Responsibilities :
- Participate and contribute to requirements elicitation and definition during the early project phases.
- Develop Test Architecture, Test Specifications, and Test Scripts for MCAL device drivers.
- Perform software verification and validation of device drivers such as MEM, MEMACC, FEE, SPI, LIN, DIO, ICU, ADC, CAN, DMA, and MCU in bare-metal and RTOS environments on Infineon automotive microcontrollers.
- Support the Center of Competence (CoC) Head in defining Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and providing effort estimations.
- Define and implement Test Strategy, including methods, tools, and templates to improve testing efficiency and standardization.
- Envisage, implement, and maintain automation frameworks, verification methods, and infrastructure to enhance quality, reduce cost, and improve time efficiency.
- Drive innovation in testing methodologies, including new test tools, automation techniques, and infrastructure improvements.
- Ensure compliance with automotive standards such as ISO 26262 and ASPICE in all test processes and documentation.
- Take ownership of reviews for Test Specifications and Test Scripts to ensure quality and adherence to process standards.
Required Skills and Experience :
Strong background in Embedded Firmware or Device Driver Testing on automotive microcontrollers (Infineon, NXP, Renesas, etc.).Experience with MCAL component verification (CAN, SPI, LIN, ADC, DMA, DIO, MCU, etc.).Hands-on experience in RTOS / Bare-metal environments.Proficiency in Python, Pytest, or CAPL scripting for test automation.Knowledge of hardware debugging tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, JTAG, etc.Good understanding of Automotive SPICE (ASPICE) and Functional Safety (ISO 26262) requirements.Strong analytical, debugging, and documentation skills.Ability to define and implement test processes, templates, and infrastructure improvements.(ref : hirist.tech)
