About the role :

Tiger Analytics is seeking a Senior Analyst - BFS to join our Banking and Financial Services practice. This role is ideal for professionals with strong analytical and technical skills combined with deep domain expertise in Consumer Banking - Mortgage business . The selected candidate will work closely with business and analytics teams to solve key business problems, perform in-depth data analysis, and generate actionable insights that drive strategic decisions and operational efficiency.

The role demands strong hands-on expertise in SQL and Python , business acumen in banking products, and the ability to interpret data within the context of customer behavior, portfolio trends, and business objectives. The candidate should be a proactive problem solver, strategic thinker, and effective communicator capable of collaborating across technical and business teams.

Responsibilities

• Analyze large and complex datasets to extract insights supporting business objectives across Mortgage and Consumer Banking portfolios.
• Partner with business teams to understand challenges, define analytical approaches, and translate findings into meaningful business recommendations.
• Develop and execute SQL and Python scripts for data extraction, analysis, and reporting.
• Support initiatives related to portfolio performance, loan origination, customer acquisition, delinquency trends, and process optimization.
• Conduct deep-dive business analysis to identify key drivers of performance and opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with product, risk, and marketing stakeholders to design data-driven solutions that enhance business outcomes.
• Present findings and insights effectively through structured presentations and visual storytelling (Excel, PowerPoint).
• Support ad-hoc analytical requests and provide quick-turn insights to business leaders.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills

1. 3-7 years of experience in banking analytics , with strong exposure to Mortgage and Consumer Banking portfolios.

2. Hands-on expertise in SQL and Python for data querying, analysis, and automation.

3. Strong problem-solving, logical reasoning, and analytical thinking skills.

4. Understanding of key banking metrics, customer lifecycle, and lending processes (e.g., loan origination, delinquency, prepayment, retention).

5. Proven ability to translate data insights into business recommendations.

6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint) for analysis and executive reporting.

7. Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with both technical and business stakeholders.

Desired Experience

1. Prior experience working on analytics or reporting projects for Mortgage , Deposits , or Consumer Lending businesses.

2. Exposure to campaign or customer analytics in retail banking environments.

3. Experience supporting onshore / offshore business teams in a hybrid delivery model.
