Key Responsibilities :
- Plan, implement, and maintain Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) policies and programs across the organization
- Advise and guide employees on safety-related matters, ensuring awareness and adherence to safety protocols
- Develop and conduct safety training sessions, educational seminars, and webinars for employees on a regular basis
- Review and update existing safety policies and procedures to ensure relevance and compliance
- Collaborate with the HR department to incorporate safety orientation into the employee onboarding process
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement preventive measures
- Monitor workplace practices to ensure compliance with safety regulations and organizational standards
- Enforce preventive safety measures and corrective actions where necessary
- Identify process bottlenecks and provide practical, timely solutions to eliminate safety risks
- Prepare detailed reports on incidents, accidents, and violations, analyzing root causes and implementing improvements
- Oversee maintenance, repairs, and installations that may pose safety risks to employees
- Conduct regular workplace inspections and audits to ensure continuous compliance with safety standards
- Identify and report safety violations while ensuring prompt corrective action
- Assess management and staff participation in maintaining safety standards and fostering a safety culture
- Ensure periodic maintenance and inspection of machinery to identify potential hazards and prevent accidents
- Ensure full statutory compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and other applicable safety regulations
- Recommend improvements to enhance the company's safety policy and promote proactive risk management
