Overview
Apollo Global Management seeks a Residential Mortgage Transaction Manager, Associate for its El Segundo, CA based headquarters. This new role reflects the expansion of Apollo’s Residential Mortgage platform, with a focus on land banking and other residential construction mortgage loans. The Associate will work closely with internal teams and external clients to support the daily demand of Residential Mortgage business. The role will require advanced skills in Excel and general fluency with residential and commercial contracts, mortgage loan documents, term sheets, funding schedules, and agreements. Primary Responsibilities
- Partner with internal stakeholders, including Accounting, Operations, and Back Office in setting up new investments and ensure accurate reporting in trade booking software
- Assist in the closing of residential mortgage and construction loan fundings and construction loan draw funding requests
- Monitor borrower compliance with loan documents and manage routine loan transactions in accordance with loan documents
- Provide analytical support, risk management, and operational oversight to meet daily servicing requirements
- Review and reconcile system-generated reports to track delinquencies, maturities, call dates, payments, and interest rate changes, ensuring accurate system updates
- Research and resolve loan-related issues by collaborating across departments
- Prepare and process collateral releases and liaise with custodians
- Support management with special projects and process improvement initiatives
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)3–5 years of relevant experience in loan servicing, mortgage operations, or real estate financeProficiency in Microsoft OfficeExcellent written and verbal communication skillsSelf-starter who thrives in a dynamic environment and requires minimal supervisionStrong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills with a high attention to detailAbility to build effective relationships and collaborate across departmentsKnowledge of real estate finance, investments, accounting, and insurance principles preferred.
